10 Day Juice Fast Day Four: I’m starting to really enjoy this

With day three of the juice fast behind me, I feel like I’m finally starting to enjoy this. Testing out new juice recipes is making for a lot of fun and delicious treats. This day’s juices are by far my favorite I’ve tried, to date. Here’s what was on the menu for day four of the juice fast:


  • 2 fuji apples
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 red beet (with stalk)
  • 1 handful spinach
  • 1/2 lemon

I absolutely loved this combination. It made for a hearty-healthful way to start out my day. And I’m a sucker for a beautiful red drink. It has a slightly earthy flavor because of the beet, which some people are not a fan of. I however, absolutely love it!


  • 2 cups chunked pumpkin
  • 3 carrots
  • 1 handful spinach
  • 2 cups dark sweet cherries
  • 1 pealed orange

The cherries combined with the pumpkin made for a very creamy mixture. It was quite heavenly to behold and drink, and I thought it was going to be my favorite juice until I tried the next one…


  • 1 whole pineapple
  • 2 cups pumpkin
  • 2 fuji apples
  • 1 TB pumpkin pie spice
This recipe for juice was AMAZING! Obviously it was basically a “I need comfort” dessert drink. The combination of the pumpkin and pineapple was simply perfect, and made for a scrumptious holiday treat. Whether you juice or not, I would highly recommend that you try this recipe. Definitely my favorite juice, to date!


  • 2 kale leaves
  • 1 head of romaine lettuce
  • Added to half the yield of the pineapple pumpkin juice from earlier.

I needed more greens, especially after that indulgence of a snack. So greens were added to the leftover pineapple-pumpkin juice from earlier. This was quite good, and very filling. Went down easy and the green goodness was delightful!

  1. That snack juice did sound Heavenly! You’re doing great.

    I’m thinking I could not do a juice fast only for the simple fact I work out 5 days a week and I’m not willing to give that up LOL We’ll see how it goes as I learn more about juicing.

    • You can continue to exercise, especially if you’ve already been regularly exercising before you start. I would just do light workouts and avoid anything too intense. But of course…always consult a professional on this. This is just what has worked for me.

    I would love to try a juice fast myself; however, I’m allergic to kale, spinach and pineapple. Are there any substitutions available that would ensure similar results without creating havoc on my immune system?
    I appreciate your advice.

    • Of course Yolette! I have plenty of other juices I am making that don’t use kale, spinach or pineapple. In particular, one we had tonight used apple, pear and fennel…yum, it was amazing! Just keep watching my posts. I have a lot of juices I am making and drinking that don’t use those.

  3. Wow! Love your blog! Ive been juicing for quite some time(2+ yrs) and have done a few short fasts. But currently, im on day 3 of what is going to be my first attempt at a longer, extended fast. Hoping for 20-30 days. im feeling great so fat! I do have a blog that I created solely to document this fast. Its a livejournal blog and my username is juicefiend88 so if anyone wants to read about my journal and follow me then please be my guest! I might have to switch my journal to another site because livejournal seems like much more of a ghosttown now then it used to be. Well anyway, happy juicing!!
