Winter is a great time to start introducing fresh squeezed in to your routine. This colder months mean less sun, which means less local options for fresh produce (this is of course dependent on where you live). We need nutrient-rich meals all year around, and juicing is a fantastic way to do that.
This recipe is perfect in the morning, because it kicks your butt. And as always, be creative with additions! I love t0 add a little mint sometimes.
- 5 organic carrots, washed
- 3-4 organic apples, washed
- 1 organic lemon, washed
- 1 organic orange, washed
- 1-2 TBSP ginger (to taste)
- Remove skin from lemon, orange, and ginger
- Put through juicer
- Serve over ice, enjoy!
