One of the books for the The Thrifty Mama Book Club this August is Your Money, The Missing Manual by J.D. Roth. J.D. talks about the importance of setting both personal and financial goals. If you never set goals for your life, you’re liable to wander around aimlessly and never do anything. If you aim for nothing, that’s exactly what you will get. Here are some free online resources for setting and tracking both personal and financial goals:
- Joe’s Goals
- 43 Things
- Prioritizer from CNN Money
- and of course, Google Docs can be customized for goal tracking.
You can also keep track on your computer in an Excel Spreadsheet or by doing it “Old School” with a notebook and pen. So far I really like the way that StickK is set up, and you can see the above image of how you get started with StickK. Keep up with the August discussion on this book and more in My Community.
What are some of your long-term and short-term goals that you have set for yourself?
