Natural and Thrifty in 365: #352 Pick Wild Berries

This great tip was sent to us by Angela at The Coupon Project.  Thanks, Angela!

You might have a free food source right in your neighborhood.  Check out the area to see when you can find wild blackberries ripe for the picking.  The Pacific Northwest is having a peak season right now for these beauties.

I remember picking wild blackberries in early summer as a child in Texas.  I loved the adventure of finding another snack right there in the wilderness.

Blackberries are great for preserves, syrups, smoothies, pies, cobblers and so much more.  Check out tips on blackberry picking and what Angela did with her wild blackberries here.
