Shopping Superstars: Black Friday Edition

It’s time to show off all our Black Friday deals we got!  Scroll down to leave a linky or a comment.

Here are some of the deals I got yesterday on Black Friday 2010:

Black Friday Slow Cooker Deal at Kohl's

This programmable slow cooker was $19.99 at Kohl’s. I got a $10 off $20 coupon in my Thursday newspaper, and I also used a 15% off printable coupon. I will get a $10 rebate back on it. I’m so excited about this, because I’ve been needing a new slow cooker.  Plus you really can’t beat the price!

While at Kohl’s, I found a town piece (we add one to our set every year) for $7, and I also got cheap blankets and pillows.  I use the Kohl’s Black Friday deals with $10 Kohl’s cash to stock up on items we need every year. One of the things I recommend people do is to plan their Christmas shopping for the following year as soon as December 25 is over.  My gift shopping is done, and has been since before Halloween.  So on Black Friday, I use the deals to grab the things that we need like small kitchen appliances and bedding items.  This saves me money on our household needs.

Next up I went to The Home Depot to grab our tree for $19.99, and I also got 4 beautiful poinsettias for $0.99 cents each!

Black Friday Poinsettia Deal at The Home Depot

I always hit either Lowe’s or The Home Depot on Black Friday, because it is the best time to grab a deal on a tree!  Surprisingly enough, I see very few people take advantage of these deals on Black Friday.

It was onto PetSmart for cheap Tropical Fish (they were .80 cents each) to add to our aquarium, and this pet bed for $7.99:

Black Friday Pet Bed Deal at PetSmart

It’s actually a very nice and durable pet bed, and on the plus side, our adopted baby boy and girl love it! I probably should have grabbed two of these, but Murry and Baleigh seem content to share.

I’m surprised at how I didn’t do any shopping online yesterday, as I really thought I would.  I was planning on it, but when the $10 off $20 Kohl’s coupon came with my newspaper (can’t use online), I made up my mind to go out.  I went out after the initial rush at about 7:30 am, so shopping was a breeze!

That’s it for my Black Friday shopping, so I’m ready to see the deals that you grabbed!  Share your finds with the linky or in the comment section.  Please link directly to your posts, and for the benefit of all please link to deals that you personally were able to grab. Thanks!

  1. I got a Barbie VW Bug with a barbie in it for 14.99 at Kohls and then got a 10 mail in Rebate at Checkout so it is 4.99 in the end. I also used a 15% off coupon and the cashier said if I used that I wouldnt get any Kohls Cash but then he gave it to me anyway.

  2. I went the unusual route, I guess. We hit the Thrift Store because they were having 50% off all merchandise. Got some nice dresses for my daughter, a skirt of my other daughter and dress slacks for my son. :)

  3. Thanks for the linky! I only made it to Walmarat & Gordman’s, and that was enough for me! I did do some online shopping at Origins though. They have a great favorite’s bundle on sale, and it carries 2 of the items I use on a regular basis. Looks like you did good on your runs!

  4. I didn’t know Home Depot had trees on sale on Black Friday. Good to know for next year.

    • Home Depot had a great Black Friday deal on Christmas Trees a few years ago. I got up at 4 AM and scored a $249 value, 7-ft pre-lit tree for $49. It could have been even better if I had ordered it online (free shipping too) but it was sold out online. So I had to stand in the cold. But it’s totally worth it.

  5. I loved shopping at CVS during their 3 day black friday sale. I spent around 25 bucks, and it got me 2 bottles of Renpure organic shampoo (will get rebate on it), 10 packs of candy (m&ms and reeses), toothpaste, philips universal remote control, 2 toys (14.99 each, were BOGO),pocket listerine strips, hair gel… I might have forgotten something… And still have 14 bucks in EBs left. What I loved about this sale in particular was that I didn’t have to look for cpn, I used none, and still got fantastic deals. Love cvs!!!
