There are a lot of haters out there of essential oils. For whatever reason, a lot of people have either deemed them to be “snake oil,” or just think all us essential oils lovers are a part of some hippy movement that praise the Lavender as our deity here on Earth.
I get it. I was there.
I remember sitting on the outside of the essential oils craze, and thinking that all of these people had joined the crack-pot loony bin.
I mean – I knew that tea tree oil was good for cleansing the skin or that lavender was good for relaxation, but this band of loons had pretty much started a cult around them.
They were all going crazy! Why was everyone talking about essential oils all the time?
In my mind, it was all about money. They had all joined up with an oil cult, and were out to make money off of all of us! After all, I’d experienced the Cutco fiasco of ’02. Second year of college I walked into what I thought was a “job interview,” and was congratulated on the fact that I was an ideal candidate to sell knives!
For whatever reason, I’ve now found myself a part of this “cult.” Whether it’s the fact that my daughter can breathe when I diffuse Valor, or I can rest easy when I diffuse Peace & Calming, or my Mother can soothe muscles with PanAway, or we’re just healthier overall because we’re using them ALL OF THE TIME remains to be seen (HINT: It’s all of the above).
But I digress…
No matter how many testimonial stories people share, there are still those skeptics on the outside. And I completely understand, because I stood there for 2 years! I looked at this group of oil fanatics and I judged them.
But there was one thing that I missed, and it is something that people still miss to this day.
Have you noticed that the people that use essential oils all the time and talk about them a lot have some of the most beautiful, glowing skin? Whether the beauty comes from the inside out or from what is being used on the skin, there’s no denying the fact that these “cult loons” GLOW.
Have you looked in your news feed and seen a friend who has been using oils for a while? Have you thought about how much he/she seems to radiate beauty/health?
I consistently witness this on a day to day basis in the essential oils groups I am in. These women (and men) look amazing! They glow.
Plus, I’ve witnessed people change dramatically when they start using oils consistently. The evidence is in the visible changes that we all see.
So whether you’re tired of hearing about the oils or annoyed at being “sold” to, the one thing that you’ve missed cannot be denied: The benefits are visible.
There’s a reason that people are going crazy over the oils, and that I finally got over my bad attitude and joined myself:
IT’S BECAUSE THEY WORK.
And we can visibly see that they do.
P.S. If you’re ready to join the “cult,” you can find out more information on how to use oils and where to buy them here.
