Tom’s of Maine has new toothpaste and mouthwash called Wicked Fresh. They sent me some of these products to try, and I am happy to say that I was pleasantly surprised at the freshness of my mouth after using them. Normally when I use a mouthwash or toothpaste that is more natural, the freshness doesn’t last very long. This is not the case with the Tom’s of Maine Wicked Fresh mouthwash and toothpaste. My mouth still felt minty fresh hours after using the mouthwash. Here’s what I like about the Tom’s of Maine products:
- Not tested on animals.
- No artificial colors, flavors, fragrance or preservatives.
- They use sustainable practices, and recycled materials for their products.
What I do not like: I have to admit I am still not happy with the fact that Tom’s of Maine uses sodium lauryl sulfate in their toothpaste. This is a toxic chemical that I believe should be removed from all toothpastes, and body care items. There is still a warning on this toothpaste, just like all regular toothpastes, to contact poison control if an amount more than used for brushing is swallowed. I don’t see how a company can continue to promote something as natural, but have this warning on the back. However, the Tom’s of Maine brand toothpastes are a step in the right direction if you are going more natural. I’m definitely a fan of their new mouthwash. It doesn’t burn, is non-alcoholic and actually works amazingly well. I don’t know about all of you, but I wake up with terrible morning breath, and I loved that this mouthwash kicked that breath to the curb in under a minute. I think I may become a loyal user of the Wicked Fresh long-lasting mouthwash from here on out.
Right now Tom’s of Maine is having a Wicked Fresh contest to win a $500 Target gift card. Read more on the That’s Wicked Fresh contest page. My #WickedFresh moment happened when I visited Colorado in July. I stood on my balcony to see an amazing sunrise coming over the mountains in Breckenridge. At 12,000 feet elevation, it was definitely #WickedFresh. Share your Wicked Fresh moment to be entered to win. Tom’s of Maine would like to give one of my readers a $50 gift card to Target, so that he or she can try the new Tom’s of Maine products.
