  1. We put our lights up at the beginning of the month and have only turned them on once. :-/ I’m lazy and didn’t want to go in the cold to plug them in but I’ll lie and say I was being thrifty. :)

  5. Ours are on a timer, but I’m liking the sound of the solar power thing! Something to look for after Christmas. I have noticed lights going out very early this year because we went out looking at lights one night and a neighborhood that had them on at dusk was dark at 8:30-9. Kids were passed out anyway on our way home ;)

  6. I’m all for being thrifty but I actually am glad some of my neighbors leave their Christmas lights for long hours. I come home from work late in the evening and leave again early every morning and it cheers me up to see the pretty lights. It’s a lonely, dark drive otherwise.
