Wash Machine - Old Antique

Did you know that about 90% of the energy your washing machine uses is used to heat the water? Start using the cold cycle instead to save energy and money! If you are having trouble with your clothes coming out clean, use a 1/2-1 cup of white vinegar in the rinse cycle.

  1. I always use cold and I never set the cycle to run the whole time. You really don’t need that much for most clothes!

  2. I always use cold too and use the delicate cycle for all my clothes. It’s gentler agitating and its a shorter cycle. At the end of the cycle, I usually run through the spin cycle once more and it saves about 10-15 minutes drying time in the dryer.

  3. I use cold for everything for diapers. I use a cold rinse if there are poopy ones but I am ECing so not unless I miss and do hot wash and rinses.
