Having a good Aromatherapy Spray for Sleep has become something I can’t go one night without using. If you haven’t tried one yet, here’s why you may want to and a good aromatherapy spray that I recommend.
I of all people know that sleepless nights can cause a lot of stress. The more sleep that yoIu lose, the more stressed I feel. Over time, living this way can health issues including anxiety.
Getting enough sleep has been a struggle of mine, and is probably one of the biggest complaints I hear from my readership.
So that’s why I wanted to start a series on getting better sleep for health.
Aromatherapy for Sleep
If you’re looking for something to help you sleep that is natural and not habit forming, then aromatherapy is what you’re looking for.
I use essential oils pretty regularly. Some of my favorites are Lavender, Chamomile, Sandalwood, and the Peace & Calming blend.
I use them topically, or even in my teas at night. But one of my favorite methods, has been to use them in a mist/spray.
One product that is really incredible is this Asutra Premium Aromatherapy Mist.
It is known for its ability to help users quickly fall asleep and not spend the night tossing and turning. The fragrance isn’t overpowering, which is probably one of the main things I like about it. The main ingredients are Lavender and Chamomile.
Lavender is known to help with relaxation by calming the nervous system, while the chamomile offers a way to calm anxiety and stress because it is a natural sedative.
Every ingredient in it is completely natural and the product is made from quality essential oils. There’s also no alcohol in it, which is pretty common in most sprays. There’s no artificial fragrance either, which is one of the worst things you can use in your home.
It’s also not tested on animals, which you all know is important to me. It’s hypoallergenic, non-toxic, and safe to use around pets (I spray the dog beds!).
I like that the mist is a fine mist so it won’t soak whatever you’re spraying it onto.
When you’re ready to get some sleep, you can use the mist directly on your body or you can spray it into the air and the scent will linger. I use it pretty regularly to freshen up the room and the bed.
I’ve even been known to spray it in the bathroom post “pitstop” (don’t laugh)…
Having the scent of the lavender and chamomile around is a great way to remain calm throughout the day so that stress doesn’t build up. But for me, I especially spray the bed before going to sleep at night.
Plus, if you practice yoga or other types of meditation, the mist can be used to enhance that to give you a deeper level of relaxation (love this!).
