As many of you know, I’ve recently transitioned into a vegan diet, with a mostly raw component to it. I mainly did this because my body was telling me that it was finally ready for this step, as I’d been on the fence about it for several years. An interesting discovery happened while on this journey: My energy levels skyrocketed, and I felt like I could take on the world. But there’s also something that happens to your hormones on a raw diet: They seem to balance out and even improve.

I had some friends over for some raw food kitchen experiments, and we ended up having a pretty “real” discussion about how vegan and raw foods affect your sex drive. It got real here, people.

Why does it positively improve your sex drive?

On a raw food/vegan diet, your body is getting living foods that it isn’t used to getting. When you put meats and/or processed foods into your body, these things are dead. They offer very little nutrition for your body to be vibrant and healthy. But when you start eating living nutrients from fresh fruits and vegetables, your body is able to utilize those nutrients for better energy, stamina, cleansing, cell repair, and so much more!
