How to Include Juicing as Part of a Healthy Diet

Whether you’re really good at maintaining a healthy diet or not, most people can benefit from supplementing through juicing. Studies now show that even if you eat completely healthy foods, you’re still not getting enough nutrients and some sort of supplementation is necessary. Considering the fact that most of us aren’t perfect in our diets, then it is especially important to make sure we are getting good nutrition from juicing.

The benefits of the nutrients that come from green juice are not to be underestimated. It is possible that supplementing part of your nutrients can be done by as simple as adding some kind of green juice to your diet on a daily or even weekly basis. That way, you can simply drink the nutrients you need and go on about your day.

Tip #1 Use Plenty of Cucumbers & Lemons

If you’ve committed yourself to the idea that you’re going to have to drink a lot of nasty green drinks that taste terrible, then you’ll be relieved to know that it doesn’t have to be the case. Adding cucumber or lemon to a juice can actually mask the taste of stronger tasting vegetables. This is especially so when it comes to juicing things like beets or kale. Lemon helps to take away some of the bitterness. It even helps mask some of the “dirt” flavor that most people don’t like about beets.

Additionally, simple cucumber and lemon water have so many health benefits on their own and are a great way to gradually move into green juicing. Many people find that they get a lot of energy and begin to lose weight simply by drinking these.

Tip #2 Don’t Be Afraid of Fruits

You obviously don’t want overly sweet juices all the time. The point of juicing is to get the essential nutrients you mainly need from green vegetables. Most fruits in small quantities are okay in green juicing, but berries and green apples specifically are really good for you. After you’ve mellowed out flavor with either cucumber, lemon, or both you can feel free to add a green apple or a few berries to keep things tasting like a blessing instead of a punishment.

Tip #3 Make It A Meal

Starting out the morning with a green juice is a great way to begin the day. Instead of a big breakfast, reach for a green juice. It will give you energy, boost your metabolism, and quickly absorb through the body since you will be drinking it on an empty stomach.

If you don’t have time in the morning to make your juice, consider making it the night before and keeping in the refrigerator over night.

Tip #4 Give Your Juice a Powerup

Aside from just fruits and vegetables, there are a lot of other things that you could throw into the mix like spices, herbs and other vegetation. You can get a powdered version of a superfood like seaweed that you can add to your drinks one scoop at a time if you wish.

Wheat grass has bowel and blood cleansing properties. That would be a great thing to have on hand so that you can easily add more nutritional benefits without having to find yet another plant that could possibly go bad within 2 days of purchase.

Here are a few Superfoods you can add to your juices:

  1. Ginger
  2. Tumeric
  3. Wheat Grass
  4. Seaweed
  5. Spirulina

or…

Tip #5 Get a Good Superfood Powder

Instead of worrying about adding multiple powerups to your juice, the easiest thing to do is get a good Superfood Powder that contains a bunch of goodness all at once.

Amazing Grass or Super Greens are both good brands.
