Raw “Coffee” Recipe

For those of you that have been doing a lot of juicing along with me, you’re totally understanding the benefits of staying well hydrated and sticking to raw foods as much as possible. The vibrance and energy I feel is simply astounding.

I’ve always been a huge fan of coffee…I mean, I got it down to an art-form with my french press and raw milk. Sigh…remember those days? They were good ones.

But the more and more I’ve done juicing and smoothies, the less I’ve enjoyed the crash that I always get from coffee. I usually end up really jittery, with a head ache, and simply can’t handle the fatigue after drinking a cup.

But boy do I miss the flavor. So I decided I was going to come up with a “Raw Coffee” recipe. This needed to be something I could enjoy the flavor of, but would still offer me health benefits while not giving me that after-coffee-crash.

Let me just preface this by saying, regular coffee drinkers are going to love this just as much as those that don’t drink coffee.

I mean, I get special requests for this drink when friends come over because it’s all they can think about. Hey, it’s all good. I’m ok with them using me for my raw coffee.

This will make you several servings, or you may just want to drink it all up yourself.

Ingredients:

Directions:

1. Add all items to your blender, and blend on high until well blended.
2. Serve and share with your friends….or you can keep it all for yourself. 😉

Most of these items can be picked up at Whole Foods Market or Trader Joe’s.

amazing raw coffee recipe

I’m drooling just thinking about this one. You’ll have friends beating down your door for this one. Shh…no need to tell them this is completely vegan and raw.

P.S. Be sure to tell me what you think!

Do you heat it up like coffee?

No, I usually just drink it as is. If it gets heated up, it is no longer raw and the nutrients are killed off.
