My Red Henna Hair – Arial Red Color {Part Two}

Since I first posted about making my hair look Ariel red, I had my roots come in and I decided to bleach so I could get back to the red I wanted all over. Bleaching isn’t the most natural thing to do, and it probably seems ironic that I’m bleaching and then using something natural like Henna. But, I had professional head shots coming up, and decided that it was probably best not to have my roots showing in my new photos that would be the face for my site…

That would have been an epic fail.

Funny thing happened though… after I bleached, the Henna did not make my hair look like that Ariel red color. So, now all of my headshots online are the bright orange.

But hey, it’s kinda fun and pops, so I’ll roll with it.

So I decided to Henna again because the Henna really has a hard time setting well after bleaching and will take a couple of treatments to build back up in my hair (note: the more you Henna, the better it gets and the better the color holds).

So I did Henna again, and my hair got pretty close back to the Ariel look. I figure that it will just take one more coloring and I’ll have that deeply bright red look that I’m going for.

Watch the video below to see how I did it. If you can’t see the video, click through here to watch it on YouTube.

Do you Henna your hair? What are some of your favorite Henna colors/suppliers? I’d love to know, as I’m always interested in new and different products!

Happy Henna-ing! (is that even a word?)
