Safe Sunscreens: Good, natural sunscreen without the white residue

I’ve had a very difficult time in finding a good, safe and natural sunscreen that doesn’t leave behind an awful residue. No one wants to hang out at the pool looking like a snowman, right? Yes, I’ve experienced this look…it’s not pretty. So I’m always looking for good, safe sunscreens that don’t have this issue.

(Look – no residue!)

I’ve tried several different natural sunscreens, and have only been a fan of a couple. Goddess Garden Organics is definitely a good one. This daily lotion has a nice scent, goes on easy and is made with 91% organic ingredients which is no small feat for a lotion with sunscreen. It’s got a good SPF of 15, too. It will need to go on more frequently, if you’re spending a significant amount of time in the sun, or you may need to buy a higher SPF.

The company sent me this lotion to try, but I’ve previously been a fan of their sunscreens with the higher SPF. I love the lavender scented one and this Tangerine Lavender is also a good one. I spent hours at Six Flags park this past weekend. I applied the lotion at the beginning of the excursion, but never got a chance to reapply. I was concerned that I was going to end up burned on my shoulders, but thankfully that never happened!

Goddess Garden wants to give away some of their lotion to a lucky reader! Good luck my peeps 🙂

I like their bulk foods–popcorn and beans mostly.
