Uses for Lemon Essential Oil

Lemon essential oil has many great uses. I love using it in my home because it helps to purify the air, and provides an uplifting scent. But it also has a few other uses, that I’m a big fan of!

Lemon oil is great for cleaning, and is part of my daily cleaning routine. I love knowing that I’m not using toxic cleaners and chemicals to clean my home. This keeps my family safer, and I can trust that no harmful synthetics or chemicals will be breathed in or touched.

Lemon essential oil is one of the main oils in the starter kit and Thieves cleaners from Young Living that I use on a daily basis, but it is also great to use all on its own. Here are some of my favorite ways to use Lemon Essential Oil.

  • 1 empty spray bottle (the normal size ones from the dollar store)
  • 8-10 drops Lemon Essential Oil
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • Optional: A few drops of Thieves Essential Oil or Purification Essential Oil

Directions: Combine ingredients, and use for normal cleaning of counters and surfaces.

  • 1/2 C Baking soda
  • A few drops of Lemon Essential Oil
  • Optional: 1/2 C White Vinegar

Directions: Combine ingredients, and clean soap scum off easily.

  • A little baking soda
  • A couple drops of Lemon Essential Oil

Directions: Scrub and wash hands clean.

Special Tip: Lemon Essential Oil also removes glue and gum!

  • 1 glass of water
  • 1 drop Lemon Vitality Essential Oil

Directions: Drink it up!

  • 1 Diffuser
  • Water
  • 3-6 drops of Lemon Essential Oil

Directions: Follow the directions on your diffuser and fill water to the fill line. Then add your Lemon essential oil and diffuse.

SMART CONSUMER TIP: Always ensure that you are using therapeutic grade oils from a reputable source. You should NEVER ingest oils that are not meant for ingesting. Most brands contain harmful chemicals and added synthetics.
